Detailed information on the subject of data protection can be found in our privacy policy set out below this text.

Data collection on our website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

The data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find the operator’s contact details in the imprint of this website.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected, on the one hand, when you provide it to us. This may, for example, be data that you enter in a contact form.

Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page access). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to receive information free of charge at any time about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification, blocking or erasure of this data. For this purpose, as well as for further questions about data protection, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Analysis tools and third-party tools

When you visit our website, your surfing behaviour can be statistically evaluated. This is done primarily with cookies and so-called analysis programs. The analysis of your surfing behaviour is usually anonymous; your surfing behaviour cannot be traced back to you. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by not using certain tools. You will find detailed information on this in the following privacy policy.

You can object to this analysis. We will inform you about the options for objection in this privacy policy.

2. General information and mandatory information

Data protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.

We point out that data transmission on the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Information about the controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

Shailia Stephens-Würsig
Hauptstrasse 33/2
65817 Eppstein

[email protected]

Phone: +49 (0)6198 5959913
Email: [email protected]

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may revoke any consent you have already given at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of a breach of data protection law, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the data protection officer of the federal state in which our company has its registered office. A list of data protection officers and their contact details can be found at the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data which we process on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract automatically handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address line changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Encrypted payment transactions on this website

If, after the conclusion of a fee-based contract, there is an obligation for you to provide us with your payment details (e.g. account number for direct debit), this data is required for payment processing.

Payment transactions using common means of payment (Visa/MasterCard, direct debit) are carried out exclusively via an encrypted SSL or TLS connection. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address line changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

With encrypted communication, the payment data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Right of access, blocking, erasure

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to rectification, blocking or erasure of this data. For this purpose, as well as for further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint.

Objection to promotional emails

We hereby object to the use of the contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example through spam emails.

3. Data collection on our website

Cookies

Some of the internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies help to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies that are necessary for carrying out the electronic communication process or for providing certain functions that you have requested (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are dealt with separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is therefore based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You may revoke this consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The lawfulness of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its erasure, revoke your consent to its storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed in full). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Comment function on this website

For the comment function on this page, in addition to your comment, information on the time of the creation of the comment, your email address and, if you do not post anonymously, the user name you have chosen will be stored.

Storage of IP address

Our comment function stores the IP addresses of users who write comments. As we do not check comments on our site before they are activated, we need this data in order to be able to take action against the author in the event of legal violations such as insults or propaganda.

Subscribing to comments

As a user of the site, you can subscribe to comments after registering. You will receive a confirmation email to check whether you are the owner of the specified email address. You can unsubscribe from this function at any time via a link in the information emails. The data entered as part of subscribing to comments will be deleted in this case; if you have transmitted this data to us for other purposes and at another point (e.g. newsletter subscription), it will remain with us.

Storage period for comments

The comments and the associated data (e.g. IP address) are stored and remain on our website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments have to be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. offensive comments).

Legal basis

The storage of comments is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You may revoke any consent you have already given at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

Processing of data (customer and contract data)

We collect, process and use personal data only insofar as it is necessary for the establishment, content or modification of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures. We only collect, process and use personal data on the use of our internet pages (usage data) insofar as this is necessary to enable or charge the user for the use of the service.

The collected customer data will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Data transfer upon conclusion of a contract for online shops, traders and the dispatch of goods

We only transfer personal data to third parties if this is necessary in the context of contract processing, for example to the companies entrusted with the delivery of the goods or the credit institution commissioned with payment processing. No further transfer of the data takes place, or only if you have expressly consented to the transfer. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without express consent, for example for advertising purposes.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Data transfer upon conclusion of a contract for services and digital content

We only transfer personal data to third parties if this is necessary as part of contract processing, for example to the credit institution responsible for payment processing.

4. Social media

Sharing content via plugins (Facebook, Twitter & others)

The content on our pages can be shared in social networks such as Facebook, Twitter or others in a privacy-compliant way. This site uses the eRecht24 Safe Sharing Tool for this purpose. This tool establishes direct contact between the networks and users only when the user actively clicks on one of these buttons.

No automatic transmission of user data to the operators of these platforms takes place via this tool. If the user is logged in to one of the social networks, an information window appears when using the social buttons of Facebook, Twitter & others in which the user can confirm the text before sending it.

Our users can share the content of this site in social networks in a privacy-compliant way without complete surf profiles being created by the operators of the networks.

5. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics (GA4) via Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Integration is carried out via Google Tag Manager.

GA4 uses various events to evaluate the interactions of website visitors. This includes, among other things, page views, scroll behaviour, clicks, session duration and technical information about the device and browser used.

Data collection by GA4 only takes place after you have given your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (1) TTDSG (consent via the cookie banner). You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by accessing the cookie settings via the corresponding link in the footer of this website and adjusting your selection.

GA4 anonymises IP addresses by default. Google truncates your IP address within the EU or the EEA before transmission to the USA. According to Google, the IP address will not be merged with other data.

The following information may be processed by GA4:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system
  • Device type
  • Referrer URL
  • Pages viewed and events
  • Length of stay
  • Approximate location data (region, not precise position)

In the context of GA4, data may also be transferred to Google servers in the USA. For such cases we have concluded standard contractual clauses (SCC) with Google in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR.

We have also concluded a data processing agreement with Google in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, which ensures that Google processes personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.

Further information on data processing by Google can be found at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites?hl=en

You can also prevent the collection and processing of your data by installing the Google browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for including advertisements. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google AdSense uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and which allow an analysis of the use of the website. Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on these pages.

The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including your IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information may be passed on by Google to Google’s contractual partners. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored by you.

The storage of AdSense cookies is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Google Analytics Remarketing

Our websites use the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in combination with the cross-device functions of Google Ads and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

This function makes it possible to link the advertising target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing with the cross-device functions of Google Ads and Google DoubleClick. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been adapted to you depending on your previous usage and surfing behaviour on one device (e.g. mobile phone) can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g. tablet or PC).

If you have given your consent, Google will link your web and app browser history with your Google account for this purpose. In this way, the same personalized advertising messages can be displayed on every device on which you sign in with your Google account.

To support this function, Google Analytics records Google-authenticated IDs of users, which are temporarily linked with our Google Analytics data in order to define and create target groups for cross-device advertising.

You can permanently opt out of cross-device remarketing/targeting by deactivating personalized advertising in your Google account; to do this, follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The aggregation of the collected data in your Google account takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent, which you can give or revoke at Google (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). For data collection processes that are not merged into your Google account (e.g. because you do not have a Google account or have objected to the merging), data collection is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in the anonymised analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.

Further information and the Google privacy policy can be found at: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.

Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Ads. Ads is an online advertising program of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Within the framework of Google Ads we use so-called conversion tracking. If you click on an advertisement placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is set. Cookies are small text files that the internet browser stores on the user’s computer. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page provided with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

The storage of “conversion cookies” is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.

More information about Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

6. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You may revoke the consent you have given to the storage of the data, the email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide us with for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data which have been stored by us for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members’ area) remain unaffected.

7. Plugins and tools

YouTube

Our website uses plugins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. In doing so, the YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Further information on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy.

Vimeo

Our website uses plugins of the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

If you visit one of our pages equipped with a Vimeo plugin, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. In doing so, the Vimeo server is informed which of our pages you have visited. In addition, Vimeo obtains your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged into Vimeo or do not have a Vimeo account. The information collected by Vimeo is transmitted to the Vimeo server in the USA.

If you are logged into your Vimeo account, you enable Vimeo to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.

Further information on the handling of user data can be found in Vimeo’s privacy policy at: https://vimeo.com/privacy.

Google Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts provided by Google for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. As a result, Google becomes aware that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our online offerings. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.

Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

SoundCloud

Plugins of the social network SoundCloud (SoundCloud Limited, Berners House, 47-48 Berners Street, London W1T 3NF, Great Britain) may be integrated on our pages. You can recognise the SoundCloud plugins by the SoundCloud logo on the affected pages.

When you visit our pages, after activating the plugin, a direct connection between your browser and the SoundCloud server is established. SoundCloud thereby receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click the "Like" or "Share" button while you are logged into your SoundCloud user account, you can link and/or share the content of our pages with your SoundCloud profile. This allows SoundCloud to associate your user account with your visit to our pages. We point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by SoundCloud. Further information on this can be found in SoundCloud’s privacy policy at: https://soundcloud.com/pages/privacy.

If you do not wish SoundCloud to associate your visit to our pages with your SoundCloud user account, please log out of your SoundCloud user account before activating the content of the SoundCloud plugin.
